I feel the complete opposite on that. I can't stand the PvP in GW. I think it's terrible. lol I prefer SF and the Titan quests to the GW PvP gaming.
On topic though, I am looking forward to Chapter 3 as it's the team that made Proph; and not the goobers that made Factions. As for the code 7s, I would just keep on Anet support and send them a ticket each time it happens; that way they can keep on Alter.net about the problems. You err 7'd five times in an evening, send in 5 tickets. If each person did this each time they got disconnected, someone at Anet is gonna get ticked and start getting on Alter.net about it.

There's also the other possibility. Many of us used the /bug feature when we encountered problems. They just removed the feature.

I am happy to say that after 1400 hours of playing this year I have had 2 err 7s both were contributed to being on a wireless connection. Wireless is not stable technology so if you use a wireless router you will most likely get some error 7s.

Personally I have Optimum Online (Thats a New York only thing, I think.) So I never suffer from Err 7. Although people in my parties do, and yes it is annoying. But its not life threatening, having new content would be more fun.

I can't even remember the last time I lost my connection, no problem here. As others have said there is more to this issue than Anet's servers.
I haven't bothered to read thru all this, but has it been stated that Anet has multiple teams yet? It is quite possible that the team working on chapter 3 has nothing to do with updates and fixes, so why would you think work on the next chapter would impact this issue?

Unfortunately at this time there is nothing you or I can do to speed up the resolution but hopefully Alter.net will resolve it as soon as possible. I appreciate your patience.

sorry for double post.
Anet has 2 teams working on chapters and a 3rd for events and other things as needed.
possibly a fourth team (guess not confirmed) for features like reconnecy/trade/etc.
but the first 3 teams are confirmed by ANET

I'm not excited about Chapter Three... yet... I'm still not done with Chapter 2. Adding another chapter too soon... too much to do...
It's that damned Alliance Battle thing that's screwing me up. Instead of taking my characters through the game I keep taking my assassin back for more ABs. Or Aspenwood... that too.
Had to force my assassin to go out looking for chests so he could work towards his level two treasure hunter... found a new town while I was at it! (Kurzick one, way southeast... fourth part of uniting the houses quest...
So much to do, so little time...

I beleave chapter 3 will either make or break anet. If if chapter 3 is not up tp par. I bet there will not be as meny people buying chapter 4. sale will start to slow right down. I mean anet has already hurt their fan base.

Im looking forward to chapter 3, once i get my new purchaseable slots >.>
--------------------
anyways..the whole Double Agent Er 007 issue is quite a bother. I always encounter it either me, or someone in my party anytime we go UW trapping. We recently went trapping to get a spider for a guildmate. He er07 out after about 3 minutes. The next trip, two teammates (one in Australia, one here i the USA) errored out at the EXACT moment. They have zero problems with internet, chatting, etc, only GW itself disconnects, so its not them or their ISPs. I myself have gotten the er 7 a total of 5 times my whole GW experience, and most of my disconnects are due to lagspikes that affect my whole network (and not guild wars specifically).

I'm with you there, I've only had a couple over 1500+ hours. However a friend of mine gets one or two a day - he even thought it was his PC/connection. He ended up buying a new PC and paying for home service to come out and check his connection (ouch!).
Nothing wrong with giving companies a little push when it comes to technical issues though (at least I think). A little nudge here and there might go a long way, we never know. *logs into find himself banned for "pesting" the techs* /bad joke

So let me get this straight... You want the level designers to stop building missions, the artists to stop making models, the designers to stop putting together new professions and skills, the gameplay programmers to stop making gameplay features and skills and such. And then you want them all to do what? Go help the server tech programmers make a reconnect feature? Go fix the internet so no one drops packets anymore?
They are making a new chapter. They are working on reconnects. Each will be done when they are done, and since the skills involved in making each are only marginally related (I guess gameplay programmers could try to learn enough server programming to help out?) the work on one almost certainly has virtually no relation to work on the other.
I havn't gotten more than a couple Err7's this year, so it's not a big deal for me. I guess I have a good connection. I'm sorry for those for whom it is a big deal, but blaming ArenaNet for your network problems (Whether from your personal connection or from some ISP in between) doesn't solve anything. And asking them not to work on unrelated things also strikes me as pretty silly.

i am glad the bugs were finally gotten out of my SBC/DSL before GW as i had 47 service calls where they started by replacing the squirrel chewed dropline
replaced the 40 year old house connector box
said the interior wiring was perfect (i replaced that myself a year earlier)
then checked out my home brew pc as perfect
but the modem settings (factory) were not optimum (meaning wrong)
and finally the last tech out said i will check out the main fiber optic connection a couple blocks away.
he swapped me onto a fresh connection there and poof all fixed.
SBC gave me 6 months credit as compensation so no beef there

QFT!!!
SO we helped a few of the ascalonians to escape the lands, saved the world, and never looked back? Well, there were a couple skirmishes after we killed the bad guy but still, if Ascalon had been my home, I'd have gone back there and carved through the ranks of Charr like a hot knife through butter.

1. I care about chapter three.
2. Error 7 is on YOUR side. I have never had an Err7 that wasn't my fault.
3. PvP isn't end game. FoW, UW, UW2 is.

Um, so is this thread about Ch3 or Err7? Are the 2 intertwined in some infinite matrix that I can't quite seem to see? OP please elaborate.
Yes, I do care about chapter 3. Anyone who plays Guild Wars does. That's because it only affects about every single aspect of Guild Wars.
I have only experienced the Err7 1 or 2 times a long time ago, some time last year. That was because of my connection though. The game runs fine for me now.
If you guys are looking for a real chapter 3 thread then go here.

I care about chapter 3, but in the end a game is a game, but I mainly like the people I play with than the content of the game, weird eh .
